It has come to 25 days now since my hen started sitting on her eating. However, according to the normal time( 21 days ) i have not seen the eggs hatch until now. what could be the problem?

According to the breeds, some eggs might take less than 21 days recommended time or others might go beyond to about 25 days. If they dont hatch by today or tomorrow, you will have to just remove the eggs from the broody hen.

It could be that the eggs didn’t stay quite warm enough and therefore took longer than the others. You can try warming them next to a stove and see the progress.

Haaa….sorry my dear about that. If they dont hatch today ,you will have to consider throwing them away.

Sometimes, the hens sit on unfertilised eggs. If you are sure that the hen had a cockerel then you can still hold but if the reverse is true, then throw them away.

Take not of how they smell. If you sense a back sense, then it is possible that those eggs were unfertilized.
