Do i need the cattle shades

I am current preparing to roll out in Beef cattle farming. I have a very piece of land reserved purposely for this cause. However am not sure if i need cattle shades. Being grown from a pastoral family background, i have not really seen cattle being housed except for their calves. Please advice

Great job there. However, you need to first consider the breeds you want to keep. Local breed are quite tolerant to weather conditions as opposed to Exotic ones.

Such methods of farming were used by our fathers, farming is changing now days. You might need a good number of shades. These could help to shelter your calves, lactating cows, sick animals under medication and observation. You will definatley need the houses.
