I bought a pregnant sow and its about five months now since it gave birth. When should i introduce my gilts to the boer for breeding?
A gilt (a young female hog) should reach sexual maturity at five or six months of age, and be receptive for two or three days of each subsequent 21 day cycle.
Welcome to the world of breeding. By now you should start observing your gilt for signs of heat. Have a Boer ready for servicing them.
